Paris climate change talks: A victory for the world

Wonderful news! BRAVO! One hundred and ninety-five nations went the full distance to reach a climate change accord between all nations last night in Paris. After a particularly intense three days working through the night to achieve a settlement between all parties, it is indeed an outstanding victory. There is still much work to be done, but the most important first step has been taken, that of all nations uniting together in a determined effort to tackle climate change - the greatest threat to confront humanity in the modern era.

It is a victory that demonstrates the great sense of responsibility and urgency that our leaders feel regarding the need to take appropriate urgent action to address climate change. Itʼs a wonderful outcome that demonstrates great faith that we, as intelligent human beings, are willing and can find effective solutions to our problems. Not least, finding a way to achieve harmony and peace on Earth. This accord is an important part of that process. Our leaders have shown greatness of mind and spirit. A big thank you one and all.

Stuart Wilde in his book, 'Weight Loss for the Mind', wrote about the qualities anyone can embrace to achieve greatness of mind and spirit: -

We have to embrace infinity inside a mortal body. We have to believe in a God we canʼt see. We have to learn to love in a dimension where there is so much hatred. We have to see abundance when people constantly talk of shortages and lack. We have to discover freedom where control is the state religion. We have to develop self-worth while people criticize and belittle us. We have to see beauty where there is ugliness. We have to embrace kindness and positive attitudes when surrounded by uncertainty. We have to feel safe in spite of our concerns.

No doubt those who worked so tirelessly in Paris, without giving up on, reaching a positive outcome for the whole world, dug very deep spiritually. Once again, thank you so much to everyone involved and to Paris for hosting this historic event.
