Rise and shine Australia

Australians can make all the difference this year. It's about time too; we can all participate in creating a better world by showing creative, innovative ways forward. How to achieve this could become a national conversation in which every Australian could participate. Environmentally and culturally, we need to retain our natural resources and not continue to sell-out to the highest bidder if we are to have any chance of creating the kind of future we dream of for our kids and our grandchildren.

Governments can benefit from being inspired and supported to do the right thing by the people of the nation we call home - Australia. Most Australians would be thrilled to see our political leaders make ground-breaking decisions that genuinely take care of the population in sustainable, equitable ways that protect environmental diversity, the ecosystems, human rights, land use and our national resources. However, it takes an enormous amount of courage and self-belief to have integrity and stand up for what is right. Our whole nation needs to get behind these issues rather than feel disempowered because the government of the day isn't doing enough. There is a huge resevoir of unrecognised talent and intelligent thought amongst the population that given support and more opportunities would have a great deal to contribute.

So Australia, rise and shine. Let's show the way forward with our unique talents.
